Floor Cloth Painting Workshop

Are you puzzled by the term “floor cloth?”
It's an art that goes back 200 + years.  It's a common term suggesting a carpet substitute.  A Floor cloth was considered a prize possession and frequently considered heirlooms.
We are going to make a 24" x 36" Floor cloth, using acrylic & latex paint and finish it with polyurethane coat or two.
These are so much fun to make and make wonderful gift ideas. It could also be a Holiday Welcome Mat, a high chair "catch" for the baby's high chair, something for the kitchen or in front of the fireplace - it's up to you, the artist!
The first class will be to organize out thoughts and come up with a plan for your particular work.  I'll have paint, stencils, stamps and patterns as well as the canvas plus a sample or two.
Come join me take home your own treasure!
