Biography:
Joyce Wynes, fine artist and professional illustrator, will be the featured fine artist at Artworks on Main from June 9 through July 7.

"New Works by Joyce Wynes" is a continuation of her highly evolved style - combining bold, colorful, flat, stylized, vibrant compositions with her own unique perspective. Wynes distills the subject of each painting into its simplest elements, and then [re]forms the images to provoke an emotional and creative response for both the artist and its viewers. With the addition of texture in some paintings, she purposely provokes a tension on the surface of the canvas between the smooth and textured areas. While most of her paintings represent semi-abstracted subject matter, some of her latest paintings are expressions of abstract, organic shapes. Her paintings have been shown in various juried shows in the US including New York and California.
